Simple oval mat but it's exactly what my cat needed to stop scratching the carpet by the front door. Sisal feels tough and hasn't worn thin yet.

We live in a one bedroom apartment and never had space for a full scratching post, so our cat had been going after the hallway carpet for months. This oval pad fit into the narrow gap by our front door perfectly, and she started using it within the first couple of days without any real training on our part. The sisal feels dense enough to hold up to her daily clawing, and it's been down for over two months now without fraying or going bald in the middle. It's also thin enough that I can toss it in a bag when we travel with her, which has come in handy more than once. For something this small and inexpensive, it's solved a problem that bigger, pricier scratchers never quite fixed for us.

easy travel scratcher, brings it in the car

Great little pad for redirecting scratching in a spot that doesn't have room for anything bigger. Held up well through daily use so far, no fraying at the edges.

I was hesitant to spend money on a full scratching post before knowing if my cat would even use a flat pad, so this felt like a low risk way to test the waters. Turns out she loves it, she goes for it multiple times a day, usually right after waking up from a nap nearby. The oval shape sits completely flat under our side chair without shifting when she claws at it aggressively. What surprised me is how well the sisal has held up given the low price point, no fraying or thinning even in the spots she scratches most. I ended up buying a second one for another corner of the apartment since the first one worked out so well.

Dense sisal weave, doesn't fray apart the way some cheaper pads do after a few weeks. Good pick for a cat who scratches near the door out of habit.

We travel with our cat fairly often for visits to family, and she gets stressed enough that having a familiar scratcher along helps calm her down in a new environment. This oval pad is thin and light enough to pack without taking up much room, and she uses it the same way whether we're home or at my parents' place. At home it lives flat under a side table where she's always liked to scratch, and the sisal has held together well through months of regular use with no fraying at the edges. It's a small, unremarkable looking product but it's done exactly what we needed without any fuss, and the portability has been a genuine bonus we didn't expect to use as much as we do.

Our cat has a habit of scratching right by the front door, probably marking territory near the entrance, and nothing we tried stopped it until this pad showed up. It's compact enough to sit flush against the wall without being in the way, and she switched over to it almost immediately once we placed it in her usual spot. The sisal is tougher than I expected for something this affordable, still looks solid after weeks of daily use with no visible wear. It also works as a lounging mat, she'll stretch out on it after scratching which the listing mentioned as a bonus feature and it's genuinely true. Good simple product that solved a specific annoying problem without costing much.

Good entry level scratcher if you're not sure your cat will use one. Low cost way to test it out before investing in a bigger post.

We needed something small for a corner of our tiny apartment and this oval pad fit perfectly. Cat took to it right away and it's saved our doormat from constant scratching.

Compact size works well for apartments without room for a full scratching post. My cat gravitated to it within the first day, no training needed.

Small enough to travel with us to my parents' house when we bring the cat along. Holds up fine even after being tossed in and out of the car a few times.

Bought this as a cheap test to see if my cat would even use a flat scratcher and she took to it immediately. Dense sisal holds up well to her daily clawing routine.

Does exactly what a basic scratcher should do, wish it were slightly thicker for a bit more durability long term. No fraying yet though after weeks of use.

Doubles as a stretch mat next to her favorite nap spot, exactly like the description said it would. She uses it for both scratching and just lounging on it.

cat picked this over the couch, finally
Penelope R.5/5Verified
Cat loves scratching on it, only complaint is the edges started curling up slightly after a couple months. Doesn't stop her from using it daily though.

Affordable way to add a second scratcher to the house without spending a ton. Sits flat and doesn't slide around when she claws at it.

small but mighty, holding up great

Pad itself works great and my cat took to it fast, no complaints about quality. Shipping was the problem, took almost three weeks longer than expected with barely any tracking updates.

Good little scratcher for the price, though it's a bit smaller in person than the photos made it look. Still works great, just manage your expectations on size.
Olivia P.4/5Verified
This was an impulse buy to fill a small gap between our bookshelf and the wall where our cat kept trying to scratch the baseboard. It fit the space exactly and she took to it faster than any other scratcher we've tried, probably because it was already right where she wanted to scratch anyway. The material feels dense and rough in the way cat claws seem to like, and it hasn't started fraying despite regular use over a couple months now. Being flat and lightweight also means I can move it around easily if we rearrange furniture, which isn't something you can say about the bulkier posts. For an entry level scratcher this has outperformed my expectations by a wide margin.
Peyton T.5/5Verified
This has been sitting under our chair for months now and it's held up better than expected for something this affordable. Cat still goes for it daily.
