Our cat gets easily overstimulated, loud noises, guests, even just a busy afternoon in the house, and she's always sought out small enclosed spaces to calm down in. This bed has become her designated retreat. The semi-enclosed shape cuts down on the visual noise of the room and she noticeably relaxes faster once she's tucked inside compared to her old open cushion. The fleece lining is soft and warm, and the outer plush fabric is holding up well despite daily use and some enthusiastic kneading before naps. I've had to wipe it down twice already for minor accidents and the water resistant fabric cleaned up easily both times. The opening stays generously wide too, so she never seems to feel trapped, she just has an option to fully retreat when she wants one.
