Our cat is particular about beds, she'll try one for a day and then abandon it permanently, so I didn't have high hopes going into this purchase. She's proven me wrong. The raised woven walls seem to be exactly the kind of enclosed, secure feeling she was after, she kneads the rope edge every time before curling up inside. The construction has held up impressively well given how much she scratches at the texture, no loose threads or sagging after weeks of regular use. It stays cool enough in the material that she'll use it even on warmer days, which wasn't the case with some of her plush beds. It's also become a permanent fixture in the living room since it actually looks intentional rather than like typical pet clutter.
